Guided Nature Walk
We offer a guided natural walk through our Cardamom woodlands to discover the flora and fauna detailing the plantation, to unique rock formations, to small view points or to the grasslands on the edge of the forest.
With prior advanced booking we can offer you a customised, one day trek through the Cardamom hills climbing up towards the magnificent grasslands, then meandering down through the tea plantations of the opposite side of the tea gardens of Letchmi hills, finally reaching old Munnar with the enchanting experience of a Tuk Tuk ride all the way back to Ambady Estate.
We can also arrange for walks in the tea plantations in and around the famous tea factories of Munnar.
A walk with a guide in the botanical garden Hydel Park is also an enriching experience.

The customised one day walk will take around 4 to 5 hours depending on the interest of the guests.( Snacks and drinking water will be provided )
Bird Watching
One of the greatest blessings since we became organic is the dense population of both indigenous and migratory birds.
Just by sitting around the resort itself you can spot and hear many birds like Copper Smith Barbet, Jungle Babbler, Forest Myna,Bea eaters, Red whiskered Bulbul, Malabar whistling thrush, Parakeets ,Southern Caucal, other birds like Magpies, Tree pies, Sunbirds etc, etc..
Rest assured birds like the Long tailed Shrike and the Nilgiri Fly catcher will most probably fly past you without a care.
Experience the symphony of the Dawn Chorus as your natural alarm in the mornings!!
Soft Trekking
We offer a daily, complimentary, inhouse group trek through our cardamom plantation. This is curated in such a manner that guests gather together for a walk in the garden breathing in the spice filled air of the plantation as a group activity.
For guest staying back in the property you can experience cardamom picking and harvesting depending on the season and the area where the picking is going on.
Guests can even experience picking the Cardamom themselves and learn to choose the pods carefully with our staff.
Guests who love to participate can also take part in the plucking of Arabica coffee during the season.
Experience the group walk amongst the spices, fruits and the birds. Let yourself loose in the lap of nature!!
Cycling
Experience the breeze on your face as you pedal through the scenic mountainous roads of Munnar!!
We offer Cycling as an activity for children around the property. For adults we offer Cycling to the nearby view point and town ( this is for experienced riders who are used to tough rugged roads.)
Swimming Pool
This pool truly reminds one of the famous dialogue from the movie"Life of Pie " It is indeed for people who collect pools!
It is placed beneath the Parvathy hills on the north, facing the tea plantations in the valley of chitra puram in the east and surrounded by magnificent age old trees like the Java Plums and sprinkled with spice bushes like black pepper and shatavari and orange trees.
Experience the pool which is totally out of this world!!
Cardamom Curing House
The crown jewel of Ambady Estate, this ancient structure is the centre piece of the property which also serves as our reception.
An old wood furnace from the outside heats this double heighted space in which freshly plucked cardamom is dried for 36 hours.
This is the oldest method of drying this unique, fragrant spice and a tour of this attic-like structure is a must.
